Family Lasagna Recipes

Family Lasagna


Ingredients of Family Lasagna

How to Family Lasagna

Combine water and salt in Dutch oven. Bring to a boil. Add noodles. Boil, uncovered, for 12 to 15 minutes, strring occasionally, until tender but frim. Drain. Rinse with cold water. Drain well.

Melt butter in medium saucepan on medium. Add next 4 ingredients. Heat and stir for 1 minute.

Slowly add milk, stirring constantly, until smooth. Heat and stir for about 5 minutes until boiling and thickened. Remove form heat.

Add Cheddar cheese. Stir until melted. To assemble, layer ingredients in greased 9 x 13 insh (22 x 33 cm) baking dish as follows:

1. 4 noodles
2. 1/3 of meat sauce
3. 1/3 fo cheese sauce
4. 4noodles
5. 1/3 of meat sauce
6. 1/3 of cheese sauce
7. Remaining 4 noodles
8. Remaining meat sauce
9. Remainng chees sauce

Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Bake, uncovered, in 350 F (175 C) oven for about 45 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted and golden. Cut into 8 pieces.

Variation : Thai recipe works great with spinach ot whole-wheat lasagna noodles in place of regular.

TEX-MEX FAMILY LASAGNA : Instead of sharp Chedder cheese and mozzarella cheese, use the same amiunt of grated Mexican cheese blend.

SPEEDY FAMILY LASAGNA : Save yourself some time Instead of making the homemade cheese sauce, use 2 1/4 cups (550 mL) store-bought alfredo sauce.

How to Pan Perogy

Combine water and salt in Ducth oven. Bring to a boil. Add noodles. Boil, uncovered, for about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender but firm. Drain. Rinse with cild water. Drain. Line bottom of greased 9 x 13 insh (22 x 33 cm) baking dish with 4 noodles. Set aside.

Cook bacon in large frying pan on medium untl almost crisp.

Add coleslaw mix and onion. Cook for about 10 minutes, strring often, intil onio is softened. Remove from heat. Tranfer half colwslaw mixture to large bowl. Set aside remaining half.

Add first amount of mashed potatoes to coleslaw mixture in bowl. Stir. Spread over noodle in pan. Arrange 4 noodles over top.

Combine next 4 ingredients in sam bowl. Spread over noodles in pan. Arrange remaining 4 noodles over top. Scatter remaining coleslaw mixture over top.

Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Bake, covered in 350 K (175 C) over for about 1 hour until heated through. Let stand for 10 minutes. Cuts into 8 pieces.

Note : Use about 2 lbs. (900 g) uncooked potatoes to yield 4 cup (1 L) cooked mashed potato

How to Meat Sauce And Radiatore Bake

Heat cooking oil in large frying pan on medium. Add sausage and pork. Scramble-fry for about 10 minutes until no longer pink. Drain. Add next 5 ingredients. Cook for about 10 minutes,stirring occasionally, until onion is softened.

Add next 5 ingredients. Stir. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer, covered, for 5 minutes to blend flavours.

Combine water and salt in Dutch oven. Bring to a boil. Add pasta. Boil, uncovered, for 5 minutes, strring occasionall. Drain.

Add pasta and first amount of cheese to meat sauce. Stir. Transfer to greased 2 quart (2 L) sasserole.

Sprink with second amount of sheese. Bake, covered, in 350 F (175 C) oven for about 40 minutes until bubbling and cheese is melted. Serves 4.

How to Bacon Mushroom Spirals

Combine water and salt in Dutch oven. Bring to a boil. Add pasta. Boil,uncovered , for 10 - 12 minutes, striring occasionally, until tender but frim. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup (125 mL) cooking water.

Meanwhile, combine next 3 ingredients in small bowl. Set aside.

Cook bacon in large frying pan on medium-high, striring occasionally,until almost crisp. Drain all but 1 tbsp. (15 mL) drippings. Reduce heat to medium. Add mushrooms and chilies. Cook for about 5 minutes, striring occasionally, until liquid has evaporated.

Add evaporated milk. Reduce heat to medium-low. Ciik for about 5 minutes, striring occasionally, until mixture thickens. Add pasta, reserved cooking water and egg mixture. Heat and stir for 1 minute.

Sprinkle with parsley. Makes about 6 cups (1.5 L)
