Combine water and salt in large saucepan. Bring to a boil, uncovered, for 7 to 9 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender but firm. Drain. Rinse with cold water. Drain well . Transfer to extra- large bowl.

Place chicken breasts on greased baking sheet. Brush with pesto. Broil for about 10 minutes, turning once at halftime, until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 170 F ( 77 C ). Remove to large plate. Cool. Cut into 1 inch (2.5 cm) cuves. Add to pasta mixture.
Whisk next 4 ingredients in small bowl. Add to pasta mixture. Toss.
Sprinkle with cheese and bacon. Makes about 10 cups (2.5 L) .
